Unlike other aggressive fractional treatments, eTwo does not cause pain. The treatment is very tolerable. During our treatment, many patients feel a warm, tingly sensation. After treatment is completed a pink/red “sunburn” appearance is common. Topical anesthetics can be used prior to reduce any discomfort you may feel.
What to Expect During Skin Resurfacing Treatments
Step 1:
Prior to your skin resurfacing treatment at our clinic in Birmingham, you’ll start by meeting with an experienced Smart Skin Med Spa provider for a 30-minute initial consultation!
We care about the success of our patients and providing them with the perfect treatment for their needs and goals. To make that happen, we’ll review your medical history and go over all of your unique aesthetic concerns before recommending a treatment.
Step 2:
If you’re a good candidate for skin resurfacing with eTwo-Sublative Rejuvenation and Sublime Skin Contouring, we’ll then take you to one of our clean and comfortable treatment rooms to start your resurfacing procedure.
The eTwo uses radiofrequency to address acne scarring, stretch marks, enlarged pores, and more. Sublime Skin Contouring combines infrared light and radiofrequency to firm and tighten skin.
Step 3:
Skin resurfacing treatments generally lasting about 40 minutes. Once you finish your treatment with us, your provider will give you a set of aftercare instructions to follow for optimal results.
Step 4:
You should expect to see some results after your first treatment, but the beauty of skin resurfacing is that it continues to improve over the course of the next several months.
Usually, you can expect your skin to be red (similar to a sunburn) immediately after your treatment, but it should fade over the next few hours.
