Most patients are a good candidate for Exion, though those with metal devices, such as an implant or a pacemaker, should not receive Exion. If you currently have active acne or infections, you should wait until your skin resolves to receive Exion.
How Exion Works
Step 1
Prior to your first Exion procedure at our clinic in Birmingham, you’ll start by meeting with an experienced Smart Skin Med Spa provider for a 30-minute complimentary consultation!
We care about the success of our patients and providing them with the perfect treatment for their needs and goals. To make that happen, we’ll review your medical history and go over all of your unique aesthetic concerns before recommending a treatment.
Step 2
If we determine Exion is a good fit for you, we’ll bring you in for a session in one of our clean and comfortable treatment rooms.
Your specialist will pass the Exion device over your skin to create microwounds and deliver radiofrequency energy more effectively without the need for deeper needles in the skin.
The increased collagen and elastin production stimulates healing for revived and hydrated skin, with minimal discomfort.
Step 3
After your Exion procedure, you’ll return for a few follow-up sessions. You’ll experience some redness or blistering in the treatment area that should resolve in the next few days.
Once you’ve finished your treatment course, you’ll return for maintenance sessions once or twice a year.
Step 4
After your procedure for Exion in Birmingham, AL, you can expect some mild redness and blistering in the skin for a few days. You can resume your normal skincare and makeup regimen once your skin has recovered.
You’ll start to see results from the procedure right away, but they will continue to develop over the next several weeks, giving you replenished and healthy skin!
